Step 1 – Check To See If You Are Eligible

Step 2 – Select A Canada Immigration Visa Program

Step 3 – Collect All The Necessary Documentation

If you want to work and live in Canada, you need to gather all the necessary documentation and have them in a format so you can easily upload them. Below are some of the crucial paperwork you may need:

• Get a passport that is not only up to date but will also last you for a long time. IRCC will reject a passport that is soon to expire.
• Do a language test. IELTS is an English language exam, while TEF is a French language test. Keep in mind that there is often a benchmark that must be met to be considered for a particular program.
• Get your credential (diploma, certificate, license, etc.) validated and approved by a legitimate Canadian government body.
• Obtain police clearance from the nation of your birth to attest that you do not have any criminal records.
• Proof of adequate funds to cover housing, transportation, and living costs.

If you have PR status, you don’t need a valid work permit to be able to work in Canada. However, the points assigned to your profile will increase if you do have a work permit.

Step 4 – Submit An Application

You will get an Invitation to Apply (ITA) if you score at least 67 points based on the following six criteria:

• Arranged Employment (Maximum of 10 points)
• Adaptability (Maximum of 10 points)

Once you’ve submitted your completed profile and all the necessary paperwork, you’ll be added to a pool of candidates. The top scorers in this pool will be chosen. Canadian immigration applicants are ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

Language, experience, and skills are some of the proficiencies in determining your CRS score. If you are chosen from the pool, moving to Canada will be an option.
